Finding a San Diego Chemistry Tutor

Finding a San Diego Chemistry TutorSearching for a San Diego Chemistry Tutor? Looking for one of the best ones? Wondering how to find the right one?The answer is right in front of you. You can try searching on the internet and you will get several results. The number of results that are provided here is just a fraction of the tens of thousands that can be found on the internet. One of the main reasons for this is that most tutors do not advertise their services that they offer. These tutors work at an online school, which are most convenient for them, as well as the students. They can put up the advertisements on their websites. This is just the beginning of the process of finding the right tutors.Tutors like to be recognized by their students. When you have a large number of tutors that don't get recognized, it is going to make it harder for you to get your job done. It is important that you ask for references, as well as not getting discouraged when looking for the tutors, even thou gh they are not recognized, yet. If they can't get the jobs done, why should you pay them to do it?You also want to look for someone who is good at the specific chemistry subject that you are taking. This will save you money, as well as time. It is possible to get a great chemistry tutor, but it takes time to find the one who fits the criteria. To find a specific chemistry tutor, you can begin by checking online websites, or typing in the words chemistry tutor into a search engine. There are plenty of sources available on the internet that provide information on the tutors and courses. They are usually listed under the field of chemistry in many ways, but in order to find them, you need to know where to look. With your results, you will be able to narrow down your list of tutors, but if they cannot get the jobs done, then you will need to consider other options. The top tutors have strong followings, so if you want to find a chemistry tutor, you will have to go with someone who is kno wn and well respected.

Learn to Play the Flute Your Top Challenges, Resolved!

Learn to Play the Flute Your Top Challenges, Resolved! Suzy S. Want to learn to play the flute or improve your existing skills? Check out these helpful tips from New York flute teacher  Nadia B... As you learn to play the flute, you may encounter some challenges as you grow, learn, and improve. Read on to discover the most common issues I see my flute students facing, and tips to overcome them so you can play at your best. “I don’t have enough air to play that passage!” While you may feel that you don’t have enough air, you usually have enough, or even too much. As you play a long phrase and feel the air being used up, your mind usually takes over and reminds you that you still have to make it to the end, so you had better start squeezing out the air… that’s where the problem comes in. If you try to squeeze out the air, you are contracting lots of large, powerful muscles, which actually prevents you from using up the rest of the air inside the body. Then, you may gasp a breath of air at the end of that long phrase without having used up all the air you already had, creating an issue for the next phrase. Here’s the way out of this vicious cycle: We actually don’t need as much air as we think we do. So when you’re getting ready to start a phrase, don’t gasp in air, or try to tank up. Just let some air naturally flow in (after all, when we have finished up the air inside of us, our bodies automatically respond to make room for air and bring it into the body) and then begin playing the phrase. Your body-mind knows how to manage the air based on the length of the phrase. If you feel like you’re starting to run out, sense the ground underneath you and see if you can allow your body to expand rather than contracting and collapsing in your body to squeeze the air out. “The flute feels like it’s slipping” or “My pinky finger or thumb hurts from gripping to hold onto the flute.” Finding a hand position that is effective, comfortable, and sustainable is the key. Too often I see students clenching the flute for fear of dropping it and developing hand pain or fatigue as a result. It’s important to know that the flute is not just supported by the fingers. (Even if it were, our fingers are longer than most people realizeâ€"they start at the base of the hand.) To find a more supportive position, we can visualize a connection between our hands and our back, with our arms as the conduit. You can imagine your arms growing out of your back, and letting the fingers lengthen as the hand touches the flute. This gives you much more support for the flute, so that your back is doing the ‘heavy lifting’ rather than the hands. Next, find a book and hold it with the fingers stretching out across the front or back cover of the book, and the thumb stretching out across onto the opposite cover. Imagine the fingers connecting to the thumb through the book. This relationship of the fingers and the thumb when holding a book is similar to how we should hold the flute. When the lines of the fingers and thumb in each hand are roughly parallel (but not held straight, simply curving and arched naturally) as we hold our flutes, this eliminates a lot of extra contorting and tightening of the fingers. These two fundamental ideas should help you find a hand position that feels, looks, and ‘sounds’ better! “My sound is fuzzy/thin/airy.” Developing good tone is crucial since a clear, rich, and flexible sound allows us to have a wide range of tone color for expression. Most flute students try to manipulate tone quality by making changes to their embouchure. While the embouchure is undoubtedly important, sometimes we can become preoccupied with it and forget that the sound depends on the quality of the whole body. When the body is free and open, there’s more room for the sound to resonate through us, which is infinitely better than a sound that is produced in the throat, cut off from the rest of the body by excessive tension and manipulated by too many changes in the embouchure. As you learn to relax your body, your embouchure will naturally respond to make the changes needed to facilitate a change in color, dynamic, or range. To try this out, play a long tone and see if you can imagine the sound traveling all the way through your body. Mentally scan your body to see if there is muscular gripping anywhere in the body that is blocking the passage of the sound. After all, sound is vibration, and vibration needs space to occur. With these ideas, your practice will be easier and more enjoyable! Nadia B. teaches flute and piano in New York, NY, as well as through online lessons. The 10 Best Guitar Brands for Acoustic Electric Players

The 10 Best Guitar Brands for Acoustic Electric Players Jessica Dais Many beginning guitarists ask the same question: which are the best guitar brands? Is there a particular brand that outshines the others? Finding the best guitar really comes down to your interests and determining the type of music you want to learn. Although the material you’ll learn for electric, classical, and acoustic is very similar up front, certain guitars are more appropriate for specific genres of music. In this article, we’ll dive into several top guitar brands to help you decide which guitar is right for you, no matter your style. Top 10 Best Guitar Brands Most guitar brands offer a variety of different types of guitars. However, each company is most likely known for a particular style. Here are some of the best guitar brands to get you started! Best Acoustic Guitar Brands Taylor Taylor is a brand known for high quality instruments and well-defined tone. They have been building guitars since 1974. Many of their top-end guitars are made in the United States, while cheaper Taylor models are made in Mexico. While Taylor guitars are very nice, this particular brand comes with a fairly hefty price tag to match. If you’re ready to invest in your first long-term acoustic guitar, then this is an excellent option! Breedlove Breedlove is a lesser-known guitar brand that emerged just a few years ago. Their acoustic guitars offer a great sound, while their process for sourcing materials and testing for quality is a key aspect that sets them apart from larger companies. Instead of mass producing factory-made guitars, every Breedlove guitar is unique in its own way. The Passport Dreadnought Mahogany guitar has become one of Breedlove’s most popular models because of the rich tone produced by its dark wood. You can see in the video above how the Breedlove style truly sets them apart from the rest of the industry. Yamaha You may know them for their motor division, but Yamaha was originally founded as a music company. They began with pianos and after being successful in that market, they built their guitar brand. Today, they’ve been building guitars for over 50 years and are still going strong. Yamaha manufactures guitars that start in a very reasonable price range and end in the upper levels of the atmosphere. If youre looking for variety, look no further. The various types of guitars that Yamaha offers have consistently good reviews and are great for all occasions. Martin If you have spent any time in the guitar world, you’ve definitely heard of Martin. They have been one of the top guitar brands, in the acoustic space, far longer than anyone else. In fact, theyve been building guitars since the 1830s! Many of Martin’s antique models have sold for thousands of dollars, even with some damage. Martin guitars have always been lauded for their perfect tone and comfortable feel. These guitars will definitely require more of an investment to purchase, but they are well worth the cost in the long run. Arcadia On the other side of the spectrum from Martin, Arcadia is a company that makes very good beginner guitars. Their focus is on providing you or your child with an affordable guitar to begin learning. Their models range from the DL41 (a full-size acoustic guitar) to the DL36 (a ½ size guitar). These guitars are very affordable and can be purchased for $100 or less on Amazon. Eventually, you will want to upgrade to one of the other top guitar brands on this list. However, if you’re just starting out on the instrument, Arcadia is a good way to go! Check out the DL41 in the clip above. Best Electric Guitar Brands Fender Fender is a guitar brand that has risen to legendary status in the electric marketplace. While they are primarily known for their Telecasters and Stratocasters, they also offer some unique solutions for the acoustic guitar player as well. Of the Fender electric guitars, the Stratocaster is a fan favorite. If you’re looking for a dirty blues sound like Eric Clapton or Jimi Hendrix, you can’t get anything better than a Strat! Gibson Because of their unique innovations like dual-coil pickups, the Gibson sound has developed into one of the most recognizable tones available. This is one of the many reasons Gibson made our list of top guitar brands.   The Gibson Les Paul is probably one of the most iconic guitars to emerge during the rock era. If you prefer the modern rock sound of Slash and his peers, then the Gibson Les Paul is the way to go! The only big drawback of Gibson guitars, for most beginners, is their price tag. Epiphone If you would like a Gibson-esque sound but are just starting out on the guitar, you need to check out Epiphone, a company that is owned by Gibson. Their guitars follow many of the same processes as the traditional US-made instruments, however they are made overseas. This allows them to sell at a much more budget-friendly price. Ibanez For all the shredders out there, Ibanez is the perfect fit for you! Players like Joe Satriani, Paul Stanley, and Steve Vai all use Ibanez guitars because of their unmatched hard-rock capabilities. Along with a Floyd Rose tremolo system, Ibanez electric guitars give you the ability to do things other guitar brands simply do not. In some ways they are a cross between Gibson and Fender. They have a similar body style to a Stratocaster while using the dual-coil pickups of a Les Paul. These guitars are primarily for rocking out and testing the limits of guitar engineering. If you want to shred with the best, go ahead and try one! Jackson Jackson is another brand that has re-interpreted the nature of guitar music. This is a brand you will rarely find outside of the metal and rock genres. Their guitars are designed to sound great with heavy distortion or on a clean channel. If you want to play modern rock, a Jackson guitar is a great choice. Famous for their Floyd Rose Tremolo system, they offer guitars that range from $199 to $1,299 so there is something for everyone. 3 Tips for Getting Back on Track After the Holidays

3 Tips for Getting Back on Track After the Holidays Are you and your child having a hard time getting back into the swing of things after the holiday break? Youre not alone! The week following the winter holidays is one of the most challenging times of the year for families of kids with ADHD. The excitement and intensity of the holidays, the delicious treats, late bedtimes and lazy mornings, and extra screen time sets kids up for a difficult adjustment when they return to school. For kids with ADHD, their symptoms often seem to be at their worst this week, and many will be more argumentative and oppositional than usual. As a parent, youre undoubtedly having a difficult time getting back into your own routine, and have less energy available to deal with your childs challenges. While the first few weeks in January will never be without their difficulties, there are things you can do to help them go as smoothly as possible for you and your child. Adjust Your Expectations. Your child is going to have more difficulty getting out of the house in the morning, will probably forget things that he or she needs to bring home from school, will have a hard time getting started on homework, and will have a more difficult time falling asleep at night. This is normal and to be expected! Provide your child with extra support if he or she needs it, and be patient when things dont go as planned. Just because your child is struggling this week doesnt mean that things will always be this way. This is a temporary situation and your child will be back on track soon. Minimize Your Own Tasks and Commitments. This adjustment period will go more smoothly if you keep your own responsibilities and commitments to a minimum. While you cant stop doing all of the things that keep your home and life running smoothly, there are things that you can do to reduce the burden. Plan meals that require little prep work or clean up, put off any non-essential errands, and ask for help from other parents, friends, and family with things like school or activity pick-ups and drop-offs. Schedule fun family activities for the weeks ahead. For most kids, the holidays are followed by a long stretch of winter that doesnt include many planned fun activities at home or at school. This can take a serious toll on a childs mood and motivation, especially when a child has ADHD. Schedule fun activities that your child and your family can look forward to. Friday family movie nights, ice skating or sledding, a visit to an indoor waterpark or activity center, and a trip to your familys favorite museum are all fun ways to spend time on winter weekends. Schedule these activities in advance, and post them somewhere at home where your child can see the list every day. When your child is feeling down, remind him or her of all of the exciting days ahead. The return to school after the winter break isnt easy for kids with ADHD or their families. A little planning, patience, and understanding can go a long way in making this time as enjoyable as possible for you and your child. ABOUT DR. Improving Your Study Skills

Improving Your Study Skills I was once one of those students who would cram information and struggled with how to study and how to do so effectively. I got tired of struggling a decided it was time to make some changes I am still learning but below I will share some of my techniques with you.1. Youtube VideosI remember a few years ago one of my teachers suggested that I use Youtube Videos to get an understanding of any information I did not understand in class. I never applied the technique of youtubing videos until I was preparing for an exam and was in desperate need of grasping a specific topic. The trick to watching Youtube videos is not just finding topics on the topic you are struggling with, but finding someone who explains it in a way conducive to you're learning style. Be sure to take notes and then go through them afterward and integrate them with your notes. If watching videos on subjects such as the sciences and math, be sure to do application to make sure your fully grasp the information2.Study in the Morning and Early EveningAfter a long day of class or work,(for those of us who study and go to school), we are mentally exhausted at night. I used to torture myself trying to stay up late and study until I realized I could not do it anymore because it wasn't effective. After trial and error I realized mornings were perfect because that's when our minds are refreshed and Early evening works too because though we may be tired we are still slightly alert then.3. Spread out your Studying, Don't cramSo earlier I mentioned that I was a crammer, but that was because I was a procrastinator, like many of you who read this may be. Procrastinating is a bad habit (I'm still working on breaking this habit), and it can be our worst enemy. When we try to cram information before a test, it's hard for us to grasp everything. I suggest creating a schedule over a span of a few days to do any readings, go through and add to notes, as well as do any practice problems. This allows you to ensure that you fully grasp the information. Also it allows you the ability to go to your professor or teachers for any lingering questions as well as to clarify anything you still don't quite understand. For those who have techniques but needed some helpful addition, may this be of your benefit and for those of who you are still struggle of where to begin, this is a good start. Remember that learning how to study is done by trial and error. All of our minds function differently, but don't give up, keep trying until you find what works best for you.Happy Studying!

10 Things I wish I was Told in School

10 Things I wish I was Told in School Im 27. I do not think about the past and do not regret it too much. But sometimes I would like to have learned a little more of other things. Things I have learned over the past years. It would be great to have self-development lessons in courses at school. But I still think it would be nice to highlight a few hours of all these activities on some German lessons in self-development. Perhaps only one hour a week in high school. This could be useful for many students and on a larger scale for our whole society. So here are 10 things that I would have liked to learn more about in school (or just known about). 1) Rule 80-20 or the Pareto principle. 80 % of all income received bring only 20% of your activities. From this we can conclude that much of what we do doesnt really bear income and therefore is not necessary. So many things you do,might  not so useful, or even not as important as it might have seemed to be. You can just throw engaged or severely cut back on the time you spend on a huge variety of activities. And if you do, you will have more time and energy on what really brings results, happiness, satisfaction, and so on. 2) Rule of Parkinson. You can do things a lot faster than you realize. So the more time you give yourself to for any job, the more time it will take in the end. You can move faster than you think. This law states that work expands in volume and apparent complexity to fill all her allotted time. For example, if you promise yourself to find a solution in a week, it would seem that the problem becomes more complicated, and you will spend more and more time trying to come to a decision.  So focus your time on finding solutions. Give yourself one hour (instead of the whole day) or the day (instead of the whole week ) to address the problem. This will cause your brain to focus on finding solutions and actions. The result may not be as perfect as if you spent a week on the task , but ,as mentioned in the preceding paragraph, it is still 80 % of the results obtained from 20 % of the effort. You can also come to a better solution, because you do not overdo it. This law will help you do the job faster, improve your concentration and ability to provide you with more free time in which you can concentrate fully on what you need to do. And in your subconscious you will not have outstanding work sticking out, causing stress. 3) The group operation. This is a method of performing boring and monotonous tasks as quickly as possible. A good way to do it quickly group tasks. That is, you make them all one after another. You can deal with them quickly, because you will have less time acceleration than if you have them stretched out. And when you group, you are more involved in the work and more focused. 4) Give first and then get. Give first and then receive. Life is not like a restaurant where you pay for the food only after it is received. In life, to achieve something, you must first pay for it. If you want to maximize what you get (money, love, kindness, opportunities etc.), you have to increase what you give. Because in the future, you very often get exactly what give. Maybe it would be nice to get something for nothing. But this rarely happens. 5) Do not brake run ahead! so you first get rid of expectations, and secondly it will give you pleasure, because you will get the feeling that you have the power to control your life. 6) Errors and failures it is good. Its good. Thanks to errors you gain experience, learn new things and learn how to avoid such mistakes in the future. Handled properly, the errors can teach you to be a successful person. When your having negative experience, ask yourself: what an opportunity it gives me? What could be useful for me in this situation in the future? One negative experience over time can help you to get a set of a very positive experiences. Negative experiences, mistakes and failures can sometimes be even more useful to success, because they teach you something completely new, what would you would never have been taught by another successful experience. 7) Use the reticulation  activating system (RAS) Use the reticulation activating system (RAS). RAS is a focusing system. To use it, you need to focus on what you want and keep the attention. 8)Your attitude determines reality Most pessimists consider themselves realists. However, in reality, the reason that bad things happen with them, is because of their reticular activating system constantly tuned to the perception of negativity. That is why they find confirmation of their pessimistic ideas. In any case to be an optimist is much better than the realist. Think about it. 9)  In order to feel happy, you need to be grateful. In order to feel happy, you need to be grateful. The fact is that only in a few minutes when you feel gratitude, you can turn a bad mood into a good one. In this regard, each person will be useful to practice being grateful. This tool will also help you maintain a positive attitude towards  reality and thus directly linked with the preceding paragraph. 10) From 80 to 90% of what you fear will never happen. From 80 to 90% of what you fear will never happen. In fact, our fears are greatly exaggerated. In most cases, anxiety its a waste of time. Of course, its easy to say. But if you remind yourself how little of what you feared in your life, has happened in reality, you can begin to worry less and less.
